‘BIOBLITZ’ EVENT AT PALOMAR MOUNTAIN STATE PARK

​In celebration of BioDiversity Days by California State Parks, the California Natural Resources Agency and conservation groups through the state, a ‘bioblitz’ is planned from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept.13 at Palomar Mountain State Park. “We will be photographing and cataloguing plant and animal species in the park while hiking,” park interpreter William Meyst said in describing the event.

The park event will be among 200 events celebrating nature in California, including 80 events at 60 state parks. For more information, phone (760)742-3462​.
