Check the weather

Picture
Check the weather forecast here and come prepared.

During seasonal changes (spring to summer, fall to winter) always bring a sweater or jacket regardless of what the weather forecast states. You can always leave it in the car if you don't need it. It's not uncommon for the official forecast to show mild temperatures or no precipitation, but this could be a general forecast and not specific for the summit. The park may be covered by a cloud while the valley is sunny, but you won't know that til after you've left home.

*Bad Weather: Please check road conditions before you drive up.  Chains may be required in snow.  Updates are here!
