HOURS OF OPERATION

COVID-19 Park Status - The park is open for both day use and camping. Parking for day use is limited, and camping is by reservation only.

Palomar Mountain State Park is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

General day use: (hiking, picnicking & fishing): Dawn 'til dusk

Camping: Campgrounds are accessible 24 hours a day.

FEES

Day use fee: $10.00 per vehicle per day*, cash or check only. Senior discount: $9.00 per vehicle per day if a senior 62+ is present in vehicle.

If no one is available at the entrance to take your day use fee, please self register.

Fishing: No fees beyond the regular day use fee.* However, see special regulations regarding fishing.

If you're camping, your camping fee includes day use.

Boucher Fire Tower: The tower is staffed virtually every day of the Southern California fire season from May 1 until late November, as staff resources permit. From May 1 until Daylight Savings ends in early November, hours are 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. After Daylight Savings time ends in early November, the hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. til the tower closes for the season in late November. However, visitors are not allowed in the Fire Tower for the foreseeable future.
